Differences between Mindfulness and Meditation
Mindfulness and Meditation go hand in hand Mindfulness is the awareness of “some-thing,” while meditation is the awareness of “no-thing.” Sounds easy, but it can be quite challenging!! It's all about practice.
Meditation is one way through which someone can learn to live mindfully. Meditation has proven to be highly effective in helping people be more mindful in their daily experiences.
Get started with Meditation
Once you start putting mindfulness meditation into practice and savouring every little moment, we encourage you to practice Mindfulness meditation, which will help you deal with stress in your day-to-day. Meditating is allowing yourself to focus on the senses instead of the thoughts in your Mind. Sounds easy but it can be quite challenging!! It's all about practice.
Here are some basic steps to get started!
- Find a quiet space where you can focus for 5 to 10 minutes each day.
- Find a comfortable position on a cushion
- Close your eyes and draw your attention inwards
- Clear your mind by focusing on the breath
If you can start by meditating for 5 minutes a day, you'll be off to a great start. You can incorporate this routine into your morning! It is a great way to start the day with clarity of mind. Some people would greatly benefit from Mindfulness in the evenings , as it helps to relieve the stresses of the day.
It is also an excellent routine for your breaks at work: it will help you to focus, combat stress and give you clarity. You will be back from your break in your best form!
